Writing Your Bio: Different Styles For Different Platforms

Virtual Event (via Zoom)
"Can you send me your bio?"
Simple question, right? So why does it bring so many people — from CEOs to college students — to their knees?
Because the formulas we've followed end up making us sound rigid and homogeneous. We try to cram so much into just a few lines, following what others have deemed "professional."
When we realize we not only can, but MUST, have multiple versions of our bio we're able to broadcast our experience in a way that's most relevant to the audience and medium while also representing the totality of who we are.
In this training, Kim Wensel, founder of Pattern of Purpose, will share:
The three bio versions everyone should have,
How to bring together the multifaceted aspects of who you are and what you value into a coherent and compelling narrative,
Specific ways to lend credibility to your profile,
Examples of before/after bios from a variety of industries, and
An opportunity for a "hot seat" to rework your bio live.
After attending this presentation, you'll have a better understanding of how to tailor your bio to a specific platform and introduce yourself in a more natural and aligned way.
Whether you have a solid bio or you're just getting started thinking about how to share your lived and learned experience, this training will get you thinking about how to structure your bio to communicate the wholeness of who you are and what you value.
Can't attend live?
We built our community with diversity and inclusion in mind. So, a replay video will be made available for the life of your membership in our Community Resource Library.
