Choosing to Pause

Between Pause on the Play® and Flaunt Your Fire® Erica Courdae (she/her) says that there are about 300 episodes that you can listen to and articles that you can read.

Of the Pause on the Play® podcast, she says, “It was always here to be able to be a place for candid conversation about life and work, DEI, and all the things that happen in and around it.”

About Flaunt Your Fire®, India Jackson (she/her) says that it “was intended to be this inspirational show where we’re going into subject matter conversations about showing up in the world, about visibility, and just being visible as a whole.”

Erica says that, “The reality is that DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) and everything that goes with it, including belonging and justice, tends to show up in more places than we anticipated.”

India adds that “one thing I found over these 300 episodes is while we had different premises to start with, we found that the subject matter really started to blend together, that DEI was an anchor into both shows, but also we found that a big thing was that we were really getting you to reconsider your normal…which is just diving into thinking about how you’re doing things differently, how you’re showing up differently, you’re marketing differently, you’re approaching your work or your life differently.”

Erica says, “All of this is giving us a moment that we are choosing to pause. Currently, we are taking a break. And we want to make sure that all these episodes that you have here will support you in the meantime so that you can stay in action.”

She says that whether you’re taking in content via Pause on the Play® or Flaunt Your Fire®, “know that both shows are here to support you, your evolution, all of the things that are going to keep you going.”

India adds, that even if you’re accessing content through Flaunt Your Fire®, “I’m going to encourage you to head on over to our website, pauseontheplay.com, [where] you’re going to find all the ways that you can keep in touch with us and really get to check out what we’re up to right now in the moment.”

Erica closes by saying, “We are grateful for you. We appreciate you.”
